Issue: The world has coined a phrase, “Behind every good man is a good woman.” This is not true. In front of every good man is a real good woman, and behind every good man is God.

Explanation 1: If a man falls backward and the woman is behind him, he will crush her. In other words, if the man makes a mistake, if he drops his responsibilities, or if he decides to give up (fall backward), all those things fall onto the woman, who is not built by God to handle all that. But if the woman is infront and she falls backward, the man is their to catch her. In other words, ladies, a man is built to take on your issues as well as his own. If a man is not able to do that, he is a boy and not a real man.

Explanation 2: If a man is infront of the woman, he overshadows her and cannot recognize nor acknowledge her worth without turning around, and eventually forgets she is even behind him. But if the woman is in front, he is constantly reminded that she is there, and she should be his number one priority, responsibility, and should be carrying her burdens as well as his. He is to fall back on God who supports both the man and the woman anyway.

Explanation 3: The woman came from the man. So just like a child comes from the mother and the mother takes care of the child, so should a man take care of his woman, loving her into the woman she was created to be, motivating her, supporting her in every aspect and willing to make the tough decisions and sacrifices on her behalf.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 11:7-12. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

Grief can destroy you —or focus you. You can decide a relationship was all for nothing if it had to end in death, and you alone. Isn’t it good to know that we serve a God who wants to make us new? Because of Jesus, no matter what has happened in the past, we can be made pure again and white as snow! You might be thinking, “You don’t know what I’ve done. You don’t know what I’ve said. You don’t know how I’ve acted. I don’t even know if I can forgive myself.” Friend, you have to understand that when we come to God and repent of our sins, the Bible says that He takes those sins and casts them as far as the east is from the west. And by choice, He remembers them no more.

He’s not ever going to bring up your sin again. He’s not going to hold it over your head. In His mind, it’s as if it never happened. And if God has forgotten your sins, if He sees you “white as snow”, why don’t you start seeing yourself that way? You don’t have to live in condemnation over the past any longer. You are a child of the most High God. You are pure; you are new. Embrace His mercy so you can move forward into the abundant life He has for you.
